As temperatures fall through the day into the 20s behind an arctic front, residual water and slush on roadways will likely freeze, making travel quite hazardous. Watch for the formation of black ice on roads, bridges, and overpasses and use extra caution while traveling.

Temperatures will fall into the teens along and north of the Mississippi Tennessee state line tonight. These cold temperatures combined with gusty northwest winds will cause wind chill values to drop into the single digits, and possibly near zero along and north of interstate 40.

Dress warmly and cover all exposed skin while outdoors tonight and Wednesday morning.
