For the eastern north pacific, east of 140 degrees west longitude..

1. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a broad area of low pressure located about 210 miles west-southwest of manzanillo Mexico has become a little better organized. Upper-level winds are forecast to be conducive for development during the next couple of days as the system moves west-northwestward at 5 to 10 mph. There is a high chance, 80 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
